It all started on January 12th when Ville was visiting San Francisco for Macworld. We decided to get together for a few beers from the Kegerator we had just installed in our offices. A few pitchers later we started talking about what cool, exotic, and random places we have been to. Once the word random came up one of us suggested the whole globe spinning idea (I was too 'happy' to remember who). We both instantly knew that it had to become a reality.
The initial invitation emails went out on the Valentine's Day, February 14th 2007. No location had been set, simply the concept and the ever important invite.
Being that Ville and I wanted to be there together when the first globe was spun we determined to do it next time he was in town.
The first spinning happened at a lounge room called DaDa in San Francisco on Thursday, March 8th. That is where it was determined that we would eventually end up at the Chathams based on it being the closed inhabited piece of land.
The first trip happened on August 31st to September 3rd. Members of the trip were Antti, Jon, Jordan, Mika, Paul, Santtu & Ville. The rest of the story is to be told.
